Day twenty-eight... Spent the day relaxing
Not gonna lie... I haven't done a whole lot today, and I don't even feel sorry about it! My sister came over with her boys, and we jumped on the trampoline, played in the sprinkler, and set up the pool. We enjoyed the whole day together. I figure, no hubby or kids tomorrow, so I will finish homework tomorrow. Loving summertime!

Day Twenty-seven... I didn't realize how tired we were...
Now that things are starting to return to normal, I didn't realize how tired my family and I were. Today was the first day we didn't have to get up early to do anything, so last night we stayed up late playing "Just Dance 3" and having a blast! We went to bed around 1, but didn't get up until noon today! NOON! I haven't slept that late since I was in college! Even my three-year-old slept until noon! However, it was obviously much needed! We have enjoyed a relaxing day; it is our last day with Scott's kids. He will be taking them back at 5, so all that's left is me, Scott, and Andrew. My aunt left today, leaving my sister, her kids, and my grandma. We are still enjoying them while they are still around. This summer is off to a great start!

Day Twenty-six... I didn't realize how busy I'd be...
Well, the wedding was amazing and a HUGE success!! I just never realized how busy I would actually be. I haven't had the time to even think about class for three days. Thursday night was my bachelorette party, Friday was a luncheon, favor-making, rehearsal, and rehearsal dinner, Saturday was the BIG DAY, and yesterday was opening gifts and lunch with the family. After everyone left, Scott and I took a nap, making us late for dinner... Oops! I truly feel like I can sleep for days! I am glad it is over, sad to see everyone go, and ready for some normality. I am not sure what I will do with myself now... it seems like I have been running nonstop for months now. With my only focus being classes now, I am not sure what I am going to do about occupying my time. Oh wait, I can RELAX! I am so looking forward to it! Bring on summertime!
As I am done with school and now the wedding, I have realized how therapeutic this blogging thing actually was!

Day Twenty-five... Not a fan of six A.M.
Well, after only 5 hours of sleep, I am awake at 6 A.M. Hopefully I can make it through the day. We had to get my grandma and aunt from the airport at midnight last night, so I didn't get to bed until after one. I figured since I was up so early, I might as well get up and get working on my homework. I just hope I will be able to get something done this morning, as my afternoon is filled with a family luncheon, working on favors and centerpieces, and my bachelorette party. Within today's events, we will also be having more family arriving to add to the abundance already here. I still have so much to do!
3 more days until the wedding... I am so excited, but I will be so much more relaxed after this weekend is over!

Day Twenty-four... barely surviving...
Well, I haven't had a chance to be online this week. Finally, thanks to my sister being able to watch my four kids, I was able to sneak to Starbucks with Jody for a bit of work time. As I begin this assignment, I am starting to become more and more stressed because after today, I am not sure where I am going to find the time to be online. Most of my family and out-of-town friends will be here by tomorrow at noon, and we have much to do to prepare the final things for the wedding. I will be relieved once Sunday comes; one less stressor.

Day Twenty-three... My focus has shifted...
Well, with school being out for the summer and one less stress to worry about daily, I have now shifted my focus to the upcoming wedding, which is now a week away. Focusing on homework has been difficult. I have so much to do to get ready for the wedding that I haven't spent too much time on it. So, now that I have a bit of free time, I am going to try and finish it so I can focus on cleaning my house and getting things ready for the wedding.
I am sure hoping the forecast for next weekend changes... I really don't want rain on my wedding day, especially since everything is outdoors!

Day Twenty-two... the last day of school...
Well, I have made it to the last day of school! I tell you what, 4:30 in the morning is NOT fun, but I have so much on my mind that I couldn't sleep. I am so used to being ready for work in 30 minutes, so let's just say I had a little time to kill this morning. I have been stressing about this assignment this week; I am struggling with getting my thoughts on paper and figuring out how I want to approach this assignment. And I think it is adding pressure that I am usually done with my assignments by Tuesday. Oh well... what do you do?
I decided to jump on first thing this morning, because I know my day will be crazy. Let's see- school will fly by- talent show and awards ceremony until 10, pizza party at noon, and 6th grade graduation walk at 1. School's done after that! Then, get together at a friend's house and softball game after that. Yep, today's gonna fly by. Hopefully I will find more time this weekend to get over my "writer's block"!

Day Twenty-one... Thunderstorms and Tornadoes
Oofta, day two of tornado watches and warnings. I can't stand this weather and I certainly don't like the thought of tornadoes hitting around home. I don't like being on my computer during thunderstorms, either... talk about paranoid, right?! ANYWAY, today was another great day at school! I started to realize how much I am going to miss my kids, even though I am ready for a change. Two years of being with the same kids gets a little challenging, but they truly are a great group. So, I have been trying to celebrate them any way I possibly can this week, and I am looking forward to the last two days with them!
Wedding plans- I am starting to get a little anxious... Okay, that was a LIE, I am A LOT anxious for this upcoming wedding! I just want everything to work out, and I know it will, but just the thought of the things that could go wrong are enough to make me crazy. Scott is out of town this weekend for a bachelor party, so I am going to take this weekend and FOCUS! I know I can do this; I have done it already! I am almost done with school (I survived), almost done with this class (I am barely surviving), and I am happy with my life... I CAN DO THIS!!
2 days of school, 10 days until the wedding... and I just realized, what am I going to blog about after all this is over?!?!
BTW- I apparently missed Day Eighteen, I don't know where I went wrong?! Sorry about the counting skills!

Day Twenty... Frustrated and a bit nervous...
Last night, my family and I went to a wedding of a good friend. While there, my older stepdaughters kept asking me questions about our upcoming wedding. By the end of the night, I was so nervous. All I could continue thinking about was things that I really hope my turns out well. I realized (now less than 2 weeks before the wedding) that we had totally spaced music for the wedding itself. The ceremony is only going to be about 15 minutes, but we didn't plan music for guests arriving or even us walking down the aisle. Oh boy, I have some work to do!!
On another note, I am getting more and more excited for this class to be over. I am getting so frustrated! I am working my tail off, and because I miss a simple thing like mistagging my websites, I lost a stupid point. My frustration level is pretty high with this class right now. I was under the impression that she would be emailing us to let us know if we were missing things on our assignments. I was "done" by Tuesday, and never received an email that I had mistagged my websites. Nor did I receive any emails that I wasn't specific enough on how I would modify and use another classmates lesson. I guess I just don't see how being that nitpicky is helping me be a better educator. Generally speaking, in my class, I allow my students to go back and change things before I give it a final grade. Especially if they are done early. With the wedding coming up, I wanted to start the final project early. No such luck. This is the only class that I haven't been able to work ahead when I request it. Not sure how this allows me to work at my own pace. Oh well, I'm kinda over it... I have other things to worry about... just had to vent!

Day Nineteen... Fun times!
Last night was our end-of-the-year staff party at Chili's. It was so much fun getting together with my colleagues outside of school and being able to relax! I love the crew I work with! We all get along so well and everyone is so supportive of each other! Scott had all the kids at home, so my guilt from being out encouraged me to have a friend bring her husband and kids over. They came over for a couple of hours and we all had a great time... Thank goodness it was nice enough to have a fire last night, because there were about 10 kids and 4 adults over here! (Remember, two-bedroom house!) Regardless, a great time was had by all! I figured I better jump on while I had a bit of spare time. We are heading to a wedding in about 4 hours.
4 days of school, 14 days until the wedding, a little longer than that until this class is over... time is FLYING!
